Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 686 included the addition of definitions related to types of motor carriers and their operations while removing the definition of "motor carrier." This change clarifies the distinctions between common carriers, contract carriers, and other specific types of carriers like driveaway operations and exempt carriers. Understanding these definitions is crucial as it helps to establish the legal framework for transporting goods and passengers in West Virginia, ensuring that regulations are clear for those involved in the industry.
