The amendment to SB 907 expands the definition of contraceptive coverage under Virginia law to include not just drugs but also devices and procedures for women. It also clarifies what constitutes a "religious employer," outlining specific criteria that such organizations must meet. This is important because it ensures more comprehensive access to various forms of contraception for women, while also addressing the concerns of employers with religious affiliations regarding coverage requirements.
