Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill SB 992 expanded the definition of certain gaming activities to include "Texas Hold'em poker tournaments" instead of just "events." This change clarifies that organized poker competitions are part of the regulated charitable gaming activities, allowing more specific guidelines and oversight regarding their operation. It matters because it can provide greater support for charities who use these tournaments to raise funds while ensuring they meet legal requirements.
