The recent amendments to Bill SB 242 include a specific clarification about the powers of park authorities related to their immunity from legal claims. The added language states that park authorities must only exercise the powers granted by a particular section of the Park Authorities Act. This change is significant because it ensures that there is a clear boundary on the activities of park authorities, helping to protect them from liability while also maintaining accountability within the limits of their designated authority.
