Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill SB 839 now specifies that only counties operating under the urban county executive form of government can create a program allowing residents to obtain permits for making restricted turns in their neighborhoods. Previously, the bill applied to any county, regardless of its governance structure. This change narrows the scope of the bill, meaning that only certain counties will be able to implement this program, which could affect how residents in those areas navigate their neighborhoods.
