Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 99 updated the penalty for releasing hunting dogs on highways by changing the number of dogs involved from five or more to one or more. This means that even releasing just one hunting dog on or near a highway could result in a misdemeanor charge. Additionally, the amendment clarifies that permission from a landowner or their agent to release dogs on adjacent property could prevent a violation. This change aims to enhance safety on highways and reduce potential accidents involving dogs.
