Plain-language change summary

The updated version of SB 563 adds specific protections for alleged victims in sexual offense cases, ensuring they cannot be forced to undergo certain physical examinations. It clarifies that a victim's refusal to submit to these examinations won't prevent other relevant evidence from being used in court. This change is important because it aims to protect victims from additional trauma during legal proceedings and emphasizes their autonomy over their own bodies.
