The recent amendment to Bill SB 656 raises the threshold for electronic filing of tax returns and payments from $25,000 to $50,000. This means that taxpayers with a tax liability under $50,000 won’t be required to use electronic methods for filing or payment. This change simplifies the process for many smaller taxpayers, potentially reducing the burden on them, while still ensuring that larger taxpayers comply with electronic requirements.
