What changed in the latest version
1 added · 1 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of Senate Bill 5214 removed a section that previously allowed individuals to petition the rules review committee for a review of proposed or existing rules and policies, which now focuses solely on agency actions and guidelines. Additionally, the bill outlines the responsibilities of the committee in reviewing certain agency actions that affect local governments, ensuring that these actions comply with established guidelines and regulations. This change is important because it strengthens oversight of how agencies implement rules and ensures better alignment with legislative intent, ultimately promoting accountability and responsiveness to local concerns.
