Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill SB 775 adds a provision requiring kinship care providers or parents to notify schools within 30 days if a kinship care arrangement ends. It also allows schools to require written verification from local social services to ensure that the arrangement is in the best interest of the child, enhancing proper oversight. This change is important because it helps ensure that children in these living situations receive appropriate educational support and safeguards their well-being during transitions.
