The amendment to Bill SB 655 makes several clarifications and updates to the definitions used in the legislation, specifically regarding the terms "governing body," "land occupier," "landowners," and "notice." Notably, it solidifies the language on how notices should be published and clarifies the context in which these definitions apply. These changes are important because they aim to ensure clearer communication and understanding about the governing structures and processes related to conservation districts, which can help prevent confusion for all parties involved.
