Plain-language change summary

The bill has been updated to create a new section in Virginia's laws that allows veterans to request an indicator on their DMV documents, confirming their veteran status, as long as they provide proof. Additionally, a previous section of the law was repealed, and the terminology has been revised from "endorsement" to "indicator." These changes are important because they clarify the process for veterans to show their service status on official documents while ensuring that this indicator cannot be used to qualify for federal benefits.
