The amendment to Bill SB 486 adds specific language about allowing one out-of-state winery to operate in conjunction with a single restaurant in Virginia, as long as they are not linked to other wineries. This change clarifies the rules surrounding winery and restaurant partnerships in the state. It matters because it provides more flexibility for out-of-state wineries and gives Virginia restaurants more opportunities to offer a diverse selection of wines, potentially enhancing the dining experience for customers.
