The recent changes to HB 1178 clarify the requirements for dealers of manufactured homes and watercraft, making it clear they must obtain a certificate of dealer registration. Additionally, the bill now allows licensed motor vehicle dealers to seek court orders to prevent violations more easily by removing specific conditions that previously limited their ability to do so. This amendment aims to better protect legitimate dealers from unfair competition and potential harm to their business. Overall, these updates enhance consumer protection and ensure that all dealers comply with necessary regulations.
