Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to HB 1265 specify the requirements for education preparation programs that train reading specialists to support students with dyslexia or related disorders. The bill now emphasizes the necessity for these programs to include focused coursework on effective remediation strategies and for reading specialists to master a structured literacy approach. This is important because it aims to ensure that educators are better equipped to help students overcome significant reading challenges, potentially leading to improved educational outcomes for those with dyslexia.
