The changes to Bill HB 751 clarify how propulsion systems are defined regarding their placement in relation to the boat's structure. Specifically, the updated language indicates that a propulsion system is considered below the water line and can be located forward of either the transom or an integrated swim platform. This matters because it provides clearer guidelines for boat manufacturers and operators, helping to ensure compliance and safety standards in watercraft design.
