The recent amendment to Bill HB 810 allows individuals with a valid driver's license to operate a school bus under the direct supervision of someone with a special school bus endorsement. This change is important because it helps to streamline the process for training new school bus operators by allowing them to gain hands-on experience while being closely monitored. This could potentially improve safety and efficiency in training programs for school bus drivers.
