The amendment makes a few key changes to the bill regarding the establishment of an Animal Cruelty Conviction List. The deadline for creating this list has been pushed back from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, the amended version introduces a fee of $50 that individuals convicted of animal cruelty offenses must pay, which will help support the maintenance of the list. These changes aim to enhance tracking of offenders and ensure the system has sustainable funding.
