What changed in the latest version

The updated version of the bill SB 991 has reduced the total number of members on the Broadband Advisory Council from 17 to 16. This change involves a decrease in the number of legislative and nonlegislative members. Specifically, there will now be less representation from the Senate, reducing their members from four to two, while the nonlegislative citizen members increased from four to six. This adjustment aims to ensure a broader range of community perspectives while still maintaining legislative input, which is crucial for developing effective broadband policies in Virginia.
