Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Bill SB 448 removes several sections that previously outlined the applicability of the new law, as well as who could own or manage professional associations. It adds a requirement that all professional associations, both in-state and out-of-state, must register with the Secretary of State and mandates that individuals providing services for these associations must be licensed professionals. These changes matter because they simplify the bill by focusing on essential registration and licensing requirements, thereby enhancing accountability and protecting the public by ensuring that all professionals are qualified.
