What changed in the latest version
10 added · 13 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of HB 4150 now focuses specifically on prohibiting telemarketing companies from using misleading or inaccurate caller ID information, while removing additional provisions regarding telecommunications companies and criminal penalties for certain behaviors. This change simplifies the bill and tightens the focus on protecting consumers from deceptive telemarketing practices. It matters because it aims to enhance transparency, allowing individuals to better identify and avoid unwanted and potentially fraudulent calls.
