What changed in the latest version
10 added · 17 removedPlain-language change summary
The latest version of SB 237 removed language that required the Tax Commissioner to comply with laws against nepotism, favoritism, discrimination, and unethical practices in employment and promotion. It also retained the directive for the State Tax Department to implement a previous rule regarding personnel management. This change is important because it may impact the oversight of hiring practices in the Tax Division, affecting how employment decisions are made and ensuring compliance with ethical standards.
