Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill SB 181 expanded the focus from just the State Fire Commission's response training programs to include various agencies related to public safety, law enforcement training, and domestic violence response. This is significant because it broadens the scope of the bill to address multiple aspects of public safety and ensures updated rules for training and certification. Additionally, it repeals an outdated rule regarding data collection on motor vehicle stops, which reflects a commitment to current and relevant practices in law enforcement. Overall, these changes aim to improve safety protocols and training standards throughout West Virginia.
