Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 525 eliminates a specific section of the Code of West Virginia and adds a new section focused on emergency medical technicians in mining. The main change is that responsibility for certification requirements is now transferred to the chapter that pertains to miners' health and safety. This also means that the Director of Miners' Health, Safety, and Training can no longer delegate authority to other providers for administering certification courses and exams. These changes aim to streamline the certification process, ensuring that it's more directly regulated within the context of mining safety, which is important for protecting the health and safety of miners.
