The amendment to Bill SB 87 establishes a new Class XS resident senior hunting, fishing, and trapping license, which allows West Virginia residents aged 65 and older to engage in these activities. Previously, the eligibility was limited to those who turned 65 after January 1, 2012. This change is significant because it now opens up the license to a broader group of seniors, allowing more individuals access to outdoor activities and promoting engagement in nature among older residents.
