Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to HB 1323 includes significant changes to how state agencies handle loss prevention reviews when serious incidents occur. It clarifies that a loss prevention review team should be appointed only when there is a suspected link between state agency actions and significant harm, and that the review process must be consulted and guided by the Department of Enterprise Services. These changes aim to ensure a more structured and transparent approach to investigating such incidents, ultimately helping to reduce the risk of future occurrences and improve accountability within state agencies.
