Plain-language change summary

The key changes in SB 6317 involve significant increases in commercial fishing license fees for nonresidents across multiple categories, including fish dealer licenses and wholesale fish buyer endorsements. For example, the fee for a nonresident fish dealer license has risen from $475 to $785, and the nonresident wholesale fish buyer's endorsement fee has increased from $320 to $630. These fee hikes aim to generate more revenue for the state's fish and wildlife programs, which could help in managing and conserving aquatic resources effectively.
