Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to SB 5375 involve rebranding the Cancer Research Endowment Authority as the Andy Hill Cancer Research Endowment and clarifying its structure and operations. The changes aim to streamline definitions, enhance governance by specifying board appointments and diversity requirements, and outline responsibilities more clearly. This matters because it strengthens oversight of cancer research funding and ensures that resources are effectively allocated to improve cancer patient care within Washington.
