Plain-language change summary

The changes in Bill HB 1055 include the removal of a section that required specific funding by June 30, 2017, for the bill to be effective. This amendment is significant because it allows the creation of the office of military and veteran legal assistance to proceed without a funding deadline, potentially making it easier to establish and support this office aimed at helping service members, veterans, and their families with legal services. This means more flexibility in operationalizing the assistance programs without the pressure of a strict funding timeline.
