The amendments in Bill HB 2475 clarify and extend the process for homeowners to address construction defects. Key changes include specifying that the statute of limitations for claims is extended to 105 days after a notice process is completed, allowing homeowners more time to address defects without rushing to court. This is significant because it aims to provide a fair opportunity for resolution between homeowners and construction professionals before legal action is necessary, potentially reducing litigation and fostering better communication.
