What changed in the latest version
24 added · 22 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated bill includes specific language to emphasize that behavioral health services should cover a wide range of options like inpatient, outpatient, and crisis stabilization services for those struggling with mental health, intellectual disabilities, or substance abuse. An important change is the clarification that the behavioral health authority will serve as the main access point for these services, ensuring individuals can find the help they need more easily. This matters because it aims to create a more streamlined and comprehensive support system for people in need of mental health care.
