The recent changes to Bill SR 248 clarify the opposition to using the Keystone Exams as graduation requirements. Specifically, the revised bill removes certain phrases that seemed to suggest alternatives for graduation and emphasizes the stance against using these exams for graduation purposes. This matters because it highlights concerns about the effectiveness and fairness of using standardized tests to determine student success, which could impact educational policies and student opportunities in Pennsylvania.
