What changed in the latest version
120 added · 186 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of the bill changes how local share assessments from licensed facilities are distributed to counties. Specifically, it now specifies that 75% of the local share assessment for Category 3 licensed facilities in a second class A county will be deposited into a fund, rather than being placed in a restricted account for specific grant programs. This matters because it allows counties to have greater access to the funds for broader uses, which can help support local projects and communities more effectively.
