Plain-language change summary

The updated version of SB 458 clarifies the definition of "common carrier by motor vehicle" by specifically including those who transport household property between residential homes for compensation. It removes some language that was unclear and simplifies the definition, ensuring it’s straightforward and comprehensive. This matters because it helps establish clear guidelines for who qualifies as a common carrier, which can enhance regulation and consumer protection in the transportation industry.
