The recent amendments to Bill HB 1821 establish a statewide sexual assault evidence collection program aimed at supporting victims and aiding in the prosecution of offenders. Notably, a provision requiring the Pennsylvania State Police to complete and submit a report on this program was removed, suggesting a shift in oversight or reporting requirements.
