Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill HB 409 primarily focus on clarifying definitions and updating the Uniform Construction Code. The revisions now explicitly include "collective codes," which enhances the definition of what codes are considered part of the Uniform Construction Code, ensuring better coverage and compliance. This change is important as it aims to standardize construction regulations across municipalities, improving safety and consistency in building practices. Additionally, the bill updates training and certification requirements for inspectors, which is crucial for maintaining high standards in the construction industry.
