Bill Text
What changed in the latest version
42 added · 44 removedPlain-language change summary
The recent amendment to Bill SB 785 has changed the age restriction for operating a golf cart on highways. Previously, individuals aged 12 to 16 could operate these vehicles, but the updated language now prohibits anyone under 16 from doing so. This change is significant as it aims to enhance safety by ensuring that only older, more responsible drivers can navigate potentially hazardous highway conditions. Additionally, the amendment retains regulations for crossing highways safely and establishes guidelines for designating golf-cart crossings.
