Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 561 clarify the process for how regulations that have been disapproved by a commission can proceed. Previously, the bill mentioned that the agency needed to request a concurrent resolution for the order approving the regulation, but now it specifies that the agency must submit the order and response not just to the legislature, but to the commission as well. Additionally, the requirement for the General Assembly to "adopt the concurrent resolution" within a set timeframe has been adjusted to emphasize that it is their responsibility to do so. These changes aim to ensure clearer communication and responsibility regarding the approval of regulations between agencies and lawmakers.
