Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill SB 898 clarify and expand the exemptions for certain vehicles from highway and bridge restrictions. Specifically, it now specifies that vehicles operated by municipalities and contractors for road maintenance or construction will not be subjected to these restrictions when maintaining or constructing municipal roads. This change is important because it helps ensure that local governments can effectively manage and maintain infrastructure without unnecessary delays caused by restrictions, thereby promoting smoother operations in road maintenance activities.
