What changed in the latest version
143 added · 145 removedPlain-language change summary
The changes in HB 41 clarify definitions related to the purchase and resale of precious metals. Specifically, the term "refining" was removed, simplifying the language to focus on purchases for resale and commercial use. This matters because it helps ensure that regulations are clearer for businesses and consumers, making it easier to understand who is subject to these rules. Additionally, the consistency in definitions can help improve oversight and enforcement of laws regarding the trade of precious metals.
