Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Bill SB 10 has clarified that municipalities cannot create rules that prevent the enforcement of federal immigration laws. Additionally, law enforcement agencies or municipalities that do not comply with these laws will not be eligible for state law enforcement grants or for participating in state surplus property sales. This change is significant because it emphasizes state oversight on local immigration policies and impacts funding for local law enforcement agencies.
