Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill HB 994 updates the definitions in the Tax Reform Code to clarify how mobile telecommunications services are taxed in the state. Specifically, it removes references to telegraph and traditional telephone messages and focuses on mobile telecommunications services instead. This change matters because it aims to simplify the tax structure and ensure that mobile services are taxed consistently, which could help in generating more stable tax revenue from this growing sector.
