Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill HB 4223 introduces a provision allowing nonpublic schools the option to exempt themselves from the school safety and security training requirements. Previously, all schools, regardless of type, were obligated to implement the training plan. This change is significant because it gives nonpublic schools more flexibility regarding safety protocols while still ensuring that public schools meet the necessary training standards.
