The latest version of Assembly Bill No. 44 now specifically prohibits manipulating the price of essential goods and services in Nevada. This amendment expands the definition of unlawful trade practices to include actions that intentionally mislead consumers or manipulate market prices. It matters because this change strengthens protections against price-fixing and could help stabilize essential goods and services, ensuring that consumers are not unfairly charged due to deceptive practices.
