Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Assembly Bill 507 clarifies that any proposed revisions to a state budget work program that exceed $75,000 require approval from the Interim Finance Committee. It also prevents departments from splitting larger requests into smaller ones in order to avoid this approval requirement. These changes are important as they aim to enhance transparency and oversight in state financial management, ensuring that significant budget alterations receive proper scrutiny before being implemented.
