The updated version of Assembly Bill No. 8 changes how different state departments handle the deposit of public money. Now, while most departments must deposit any funds of $10,000 or more by the next working day, the Department of Wildlife is allowed 10 working days to make that deposit instead. This amendment helps provide more flexibility for the Department of Wildlife in managing their finances, which could reduce the administrative burden on them. Overall, it aims to ensure effective financial management while accommodating the specific needs of certain departments.
