Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Senate Bill No. 436 includes a new requirement for the Commissioner of Insurance to provide an annual report to a legislative committee about the service contract provider industry. Additionally, it removes an earlier provision that mandated service contract providers to have an adequate workforce to fulfill their obligations. This change simplifies the obligations for providers but retains oversight through the annual reporting, ensuring that lawmakers can still monitor the industry's performance and any potential issues.
