The updated version of Assembly Bill No. 149 now mandates that the Cannabis Compliance Board create an electronic database that will include detailed information about the testing of cannabis and cannabis products. This database will make the final test results publicly accessible and require the Board to establish regulations for how the database is managed. Additionally, the Board will need to report to the Legislature every two years about the database and its contents. This change is significant because it aims to enhance transparency and public trust in cannabis safety testing.
