The amendments to Assembly Bill 130 expand insurance coverage options for motorcycle owners. The updated bill now requires insurance companies to offer uninsured and underinsured vehicle coverage for motorcycle policies, as well as the option to cover medical expenses of at least $1,000 resulting from crashes. This change is significant because it aligns motorcycle insurance with existing protections available for cars, providing riders with greater financial security on the road.
