Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Senate Joint Resolution No. 7 proposes an amendment to the Nevada Constitution that would remove certain constitutional provisions related to how the Board of Regents of the State University is elected and their duties. Instead of having these details specified in the Constitution, the Legislature would gain the authority to define the governance of the State University and the auditing process for public higher education institutions through statutes. This change matters because it allows for more flexibility in how the State University is managed and could lead to updates in governance that better reflect current educational needs and practices.
